Terms of Service

sl33p-space is an open-source prototype developed for the Google Cloud Rapid Agent Hackathon (MongoDB track, “Building Agents for Real-World Challenges”). The source code is released under the MIT License and is available at github.com/pixjobs/sl33p-space.

By accessing or using sl33p-space, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

1. Hackathon Prototype Disclaimer

This application is a hackathon prototype and is provided strictly “as is” and “as available” without any warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We make no guarantees regarding:

  • Availability, uptime, or reliability of the service.
  • Accuracy or suitability of AI-generated sleep recommendations.
  • Continuous availability of generated audio content.
  • Data persistence beyond the hackathon evaluation period.

This application does not provide medical advice. It is not a substitute for professional medical consultation, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding a medical condition or sleep disorder.

2. Eligibility

You must have a valid Google account to use this service. You must be at least 16 years of age. By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use sl33p-space solely for personal sleep improvement and wellbeing purposes. You shall not:

  • Attempt to access other users’ data or accounts.
  • Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or authentication mechanisms.
  • Use the service to generate content for commercial redistribution.
  • Reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the service infrastructure.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data from the service.

4. Generated Content

Audio tracks are generated using Google’s Lyria AI model. Generated content:

  • Is created on-demand based on text prompts and may not be reproducible.
  • Is subject to Google’s AI usage policies and content guidelines.
  • Does not confer exclusive ownership rights to any party.
  • May be removed or become unavailable at any time without notice.

5. Quotas & Rate Limits

Generation quotas are applied per account tier. Exceeding your quota will result in temporary restriction of generation capabilities. Quotas reset monthly. Abuse of the generation system may result in account suspension.

6. Intellectual Property

The sl33p-space source code is licensed under the MIT License. Third-party services (Google Cloud, Firebase, MongoDB, Lyria) are subject to their respective terms and licenses. The sl33p-space name and branding are used in the context of this hackathon project.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the sl33p-space project maintainers and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the service.
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the service.
  • Unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your data.
  • Any AI-generated recommendations, soundscapes, or content.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the project maintainers and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. As a hackathon prototype, the service may be discontinued entirely after the evaluation period. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated via the application.
